Don’t set them up
Have you ever seen someone in a baby jogger city mini GT or similar stroller walking their child or children along and realize their homeless? Thousands of people do every day, not all of them as non-judgmental as you. Each time these parents hit the streets, they don’t just face the adversity experiencing homelessness entails.
Their kids do.
The numerous times the parent has to bring a child along when applying for work at the employment office. Waiting for their number to be called at the Food Stamps office, trying to straighten out mistakes made out of ignorance by belligerent staff.
When you see a parent with a stroller, you’re seeing someone else seeing everything. Children learn what they live.
