A way to keep them occupied
Tons of people have answers to how they believe the homeless can either be helped or they themselves can be helped from further bother of people experiencing homelessness.
Two years ago I sat at a table in which a Mayoral candidate professed making it’s business’s location home to an upcoming drop in center for street people.
The rub?
When I asked the impact of the already numerous families with children there and the risks imposed I was rebuttled, “They won’t be housed there”.
Needless to say, she didn’t win the race, the families are still there, and I haven’t heard word of the drop in center further…but I’m sure some spin doctor will eventually open their yap when they want to take credit.
I imagine the numbers will be forward looking…something in the area of 5 people a day served.
