Clothes make the homeless
A few years ago I stopped to think about the clothes I'd seen many youth and young adults wearing daily while experiencing homelessness. Whether it's hip hop clothing, Goth/Punk, to Grunge, the younger a person the more prone to maintaining at least two outfits of their style.
But the same people often overlook the basic necessities, such as toothbrushes, razors, or soap in a travel bag. What they're exhibiting is the "what would you collect if you had a fire and 1 minute to escape?" syndrome.
...including underwear, and let's face it...everyone needs underwear. Which is what Dignity You Wear does, and has been doing for years in Jacksonville. There's only one problem...I've never seen them have anything that could be color coordinated with black Goth clothes.
